A first follow-up meeting of the Tangier Appeal

The signatories of the “Tangier Appeal” held their first follow-up meeting on January 28, 2023 in Marrakech, marked by the unanimous adoption of a draft White Book that represents the outcome of the intellectual phase of the Campaign and faithfully reflects the debates. It was co-constructed by various African stakeholders and represents the vision of a united Africa, of a renewed Pan-Africanism carried by the living forces of the continent.

 

The January 28th meeting was marked by the participation and accession of three new signatories to the Contact Group of the Tangier Appeal:

 

  • H.E.Mr. Lamin Kaba Bajo, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Gambia;
  • H.E.Mr. Lesego Makgothi, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Lesotho;
  • H.E.Mr. Patrick Rajoelina, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Madagascar.
